I was listening to the Smart Passive Income podcast recently and discovered a few interesting places to add your opt in to try and increase subscribers.
1. Hardcode it right under the Post Title
I thought this was an interesting concept and it appears that hardcoding the opt in incentive right under the title increases conversions. I am going to test this on my sites to see if it works, so be sure to Click Here to Subscribe to receive the updates about that.
Here’s what I mean.
See how it goes where your author link usually is. Apparently this works very well so it’s worth giving it a try.
2. Add it to the TOP of the page or post
If you can’t hardcode it, just add the subscribe link right at the top of the post or page. Most people leave it right to the bottom, but why leave it as an after thought when getting more subscribers is one of your main objectives.
Just use a link at the top of the post ‘Subscribe here for updates’ or whatever else you want to say. Keep it simple.
3. Make it blend
This was something else I found interesting from that podcast, was the concept of making your opt in blend in with the content instead of making it stand out.
Most of the time I’ve always tried to make the opt in stand out so that people will ‘notice’ it and subscribe. But the suggestion was to blend it in as much as possible and I could see how this would work. If you are leading the person naturally through the post, then the ‘blended’ link would naturally be the next best click. So people will click it!
I need to test this and will report back with results.
4. Add a link to your emails
Encourage your current readers or subscribers to share your stuff with friends.
Yes, you can blantantly ask them to ‘Share this link’ with a friend and you might just be surprised at how many people do.
5. Share a Leadbox link on Facebook or other site
The GREAT thing about Leadboxes is you can share a link directly on Facebook or any other site and when a person clicks on that link it opens up the leadbox. No other distractions, not too much to think about, just add your email and get what’s on offer.
Now who would pass that up?
I’ve also used this method on other people’s sites when doing guest posts and it works well.
There’s not many people using this method so it’s a great strategy to get in on early before too people discover it.
So there you have it, 5 simple interesting things that could help to rapidly increase your subscribers.

All the best,
